Gotta love free (without guilt) music.
Coldplay is giving away their newest live album today.
Back in the mood
Even thought it’s one of my favorite genre’s of music, I haven’t been listening to much Hip Hop these days. I’ve even begun to wonder if Hip Hop as I used to know it is long gone. The last couple of days I’ve been hunting around on Rhapsody checking out what’s new in the Christian Hip Hop circle. Once of my favorite groups - The Cross Movement- from about 10 years ago has expanded to having their own label and now has a decent crew of artists signed. When they first came out The Cross Movement was among just a handful of groups that could hold their own as a ‘Christian’ rap crew that was as good as anything on the charts. One member of the group recently dropped a single that you can check out below.
In the works
I spent a bit of time this morning searching the library of Rhapsody looking for some fresh Christmas songs with some hiphop appeal but found that the selection was pretty slim. So after having a dance session to Christmas in Hollis, Jude and I decided we needed to collab and put together a fresh track. Hopefully we’ll have something to you before Christmas.
He is like a mounty…
I know a lot of people have seen this already but I had to post it anyhow. This is definitely a tribute to weird early Christian music.
The Man In Black
One of my all time favorite songs.
Worship
A primary role of mine at our church here in Liberty Lake is leading worship on Sunday mornings. Some of the freshest ‘worship’ music in the last few years has been coming from Hillsong Church in Australia. Lately I’ve been into a remix of some of their stuff called ‘Jesus Is’. You can check out a song written by Matt Redman below. I’d love to do this version on a Sunday morning if I had the right stuff.
Woke with this song in my head:
