Whirlwind

We are back home in Washington (still kind of weird to say that) after a busy, action packed time in Nor-Cal. We had a great time seeing family and friends although we weren’t able to catch up with everyone as much as we’d like - two wedding, and 5 days at camp took a big chunk out of our time.

I wasn’t sure how I would feel going to Humboldt for just a visit. Would I realize how much I missed it or feel even more certain we made the right decision? While without a doubt I miss my family and many good friends and the area is uniquely beautiful, I definitely feel like Eastern Washington is my home.

My beautiful wife will most certainly be posting pictures of our time down south on the family blog and I’ll try to throw up a few on my space here soon as well.

  1. It’s interesting because while you were here I was thinking about how odd it is that Norcal isn’t your real “home” anymore.
It’s simply undeniable (in the best possible way) that your family’s home is in Washington. I’d be lying if I said that we aren’t sad that our home isn’t there too. We miss you guys so much - and November won’t be here fast enough!

  2. I’ll bet part of you feels like you need a vacation from your vacation! It was great to see you, Jess, and Jude! He’s growing so fast and is at such an adorable age. What fun it was to watch him play, talk, and run after the pets…

We’ll let you know as soon as our reservations are set, and hopefully we’ll be seeing you in a few weeks! Yay!
