I’ll preface the posting of the video below with, I’m still very undecided on how I’m going to vote come November. Saying that, I have to wonder how delusional some Obama supporters are after watching this video.
I’d like to see world peace, free beer, and the 49ers win the Super Bowl.

What hope? What change? What substance? Just like cotton candy, there was nothing to that at all. How naive.

Change what - from what - to what - how? The part that is scary is that Obama has given nothing substantial for anyone to lean on except the ‘change’ chant going around. What is he going to change? How is he going to change it. Is the change he is suggesting better than status quo or better than change someone else is suggesting? Why or why not?
He’s become an idol for the cult of “perceived” change. He’s become an idol for the cult of the generation that is so egocentric they think no one else represents them or could possibly represent them. He’s become the idol of those that profess tolerance yet are the most intolerant generation in history.
Lovely.
(I’m decided that I’m not voting for someone who gives me no substance, evidence, history or reliance that they can run this country).
I wish we were free to decide who to vote for on our own. I fight the feeling of being judged for who I’m voting for. I am also undecided as to who to vote for but I do like some of the things Obama says as well as other candidates. You either Love him or Hate him. I want the freedom to decide without so much judgment from people. I’m not just talking about this post. I hear it from church, work, ect. all over. I dunno I’m rambling.
Normally I stay out of political discussions, but I’d like to put my two-cents in on this one. This video does not make me delusional. However, still being undecided, I believe a vote for McCain is like having another four more years of Bush. Clinton comes across (to me) as a wishy washy back-peddling quasi-Democrat. When it comes time, I will vote my conscience.
Yes, Freedom is one of the limited right that we still have in this country. For how long, who knows. Do we really want four more years of Bushonomics? Giving up on our earth and relaxed environmental clauses to appease big business; tax breaks for the rich and large industries; Nepotism in our government. Our fore fathers would be ashamed of our country if they were alive today. Isn’t it time that other countries see the good in this country, instead of the negativities. We were once a proud nation, I think it’s time for us to regain that trust once again. It is every one’s right to vote for the person that they believe in. I was once a stout republican, but those days are gone. This country needs change! I feel it’s time for a change! Our past president’s have done what they wanted or how they thought what was good for our country. It’s time that our country gets a president that will listen to the people. It’s a time when the military defends this country, instead of policing other countries. It’s a time when we bring back the jobs to America, instead of having other countries make our clothes and other goods because they can do it cheaper. Feed this countries poor and fix our medical system.
Each of us have our own way of thinking and our personal beliefs. This November, when you cast our vote, just think of how our country has gone down hill in the last eight years, the price of food, gas, airlines, etc., and ask yourself, do we want four more years of the same? Then cast your vote for the person that will return our country back to what it once was…..
Just to clarify, my title ‘Delusional’ is not aimed at people who would vote for Obama. As I said, I’m still undecided at this point who I’m going to vote for. I do however think it’s delusional to think that Obama is going to come in and gas prices will fall, the world will love us, and the environment will do a 180. I also think this video (if anyone watched it) is the most hilarious promo I’ve ever seen.
On another note, I would love if anyone who is considering voting for Obama would share information about why they are compelled to vote for him other than the fact they don’t like Republicans or the fact he uses the word ‘change’ a lot. I’m tired of hearing about people voting for Obama simply because they don’t like Bush or Republicans. What values, policies, etc. does Obama believe in that cause you to support him?
I’m sorry, but this sounds like a set-up to be put down. Discussions involving religion and politics are ones I purposely avoid (with the exception of my two-cents on this one).
No set-up here just an honest question for those who would vote for Obama because of a desire to see change.
I’m still undecided and haven’t ruled out voting for a 3rd party candidate. Voting for my choice as opposed to the lesser of two evils makes me appreciate my right to vote so much more, even if ‘my guy’ doesn’t win. One thing I will do between now and November is research the candidates and vote based on what I find out. I find it funny/sad when people so passionately support a candidate they know nothing about other than maybe one or two issues.
Again, anyone can say the word change over and over but how is that change going to play out? All the candidates are saying it (not just Obama) and so as an informed voter - come November - I plan on being able to express why I voted the way I did. Unfortunately a lot of people I know - on both sides - who have made up their minds already, are voting for their candidate more because they don’t like the other guy than because they agree with the policies and values of their candidate. I think that’s silly.
But I digress…the main point of this post was how goofy this video was. I would say the same thing if B-list Hollywood people we’re singing McCain over and over instead of Obama. I guess no one else thinks it’s silly because the comments have become classic Left vs. Right instead of, “That is the single wierdest/supidist/scariest promo ever!”
